Saying Goodbye To My 2015 Ford Taurus SHO: 5 Things I Hate, 5 Things I Love…

It’s time to say goodbye to my lil’ workhorse, my 2015 Ford Taurus SHO. 🥺 I picked her (easier to personify by saying “her” instead of “it”) up in early February of 2021 with 67,000 miles and as I traded you in on Friday the odometer read 130,000.5 miles. Lol. I kid you not.

For $18,000.00 this was A LOT of car for the money at a time when I needed it. My 2012 Challenger was rear-ended the week before and deemed totaled by the body shop so I only had 7 days to find a new car while moving to New York, still traveling for work and dealing with other life events.

The 3.5L 365hp twin turbo #EcoBoost V6 carried me back and forth to New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Baltimore, I mean EVERYWHERE without a hitch. Your “cop-like” appearance kept me safe and from getting pulled over. Lol.

But age has started to wear on you. Struts, 2 thermostats, leaks… it was time. So I bid you farewell. I know you still have a lot of life left in you and I hope your next owner loves you as much as I did.

The official reveal of my new car will be Friday, August 2nd, 2024. Stay tuned to the channel so that you don’t miss it!

New auto parts have a 50/50 chance of being good nowadays.

I had a 2010 and 2013 SHO. They will be collectors in the future I think. I meticulously maintained both, the 2013 had left turbo go out on 74k miles. Having to change the PTU fluid etc. Fun car, but wouldn't have one as my daily. Massaging seat and cooling seats were nice. Traded in for a 2018 Genesis G80 Sport which was way better and more reliable. Now I have a 2023 Frontier Pro 4x and a 2000 Buick Lesabre.

The radio could have been swapped out for the 16-19 sync 3 for the newer oem system with CarPlay and still have all the factory features

Great review, just like the one you did three years ago. I watched them both one after the other because right now, I'm in the process of buying a 2015 SHO PP with around 104k miles on it.

Yeah, the selling price is rather decent for its age (around 14k$). However, being in Europe, that's a real challenge/issue since there are very few true American cars around here (for obvious reasons like huge taxes and import fees, and also lack of spare parts readily available like in the US).
Surely I want the car, and I can already relate to your story of being your first car in many regards, with all the extras it had for you, and would have for me as well. My main concern would be the maintenance issues that I saw in many videos about this model. Congrats on your ownership of this car, and best of luck with the new one. 👍
