Hi Mimi :) The feeding time is absolutely normal! The first two months of my son's life, I spent in the breastfeeding chair. He was literally eating for hours, sleep while eating even. Babies feed not only because they are hungry. They find comfort in this. They have been inside you for 9 months, so now this is the only world they know :) When my son became 3 months old, he became stronger and more aware of everything around him and he started feeding every 3-4 hours for 10-15 minutes. Babies feed when they are thirsty, hungry, afraid, they need their mother :) So be patient and happy for this connection you have, this is the best present you are giving your baby :) In a couple of months you will miss this :) You are a great mom!

It's normal to feel like you're feeding all day. It's mostly because you are not used to it. BUT, this intensity usually only lasts for 3-4 months. After that, your body regulates it's milk production, baby gets to be a pro at breastfeeding. Newborn's are INTENSE. Revel in it. Cry. Lean on your partner. The rule of child raising is that YOU ALWAYS FEEL LIKE IT WILL LAST FOREVER, then it changes. Then you feel like the next stage will last forever. Then it changes. They keep you on your toes. Children are your ultimate teachers! They keep you in practice. love love love. and big love to you three!

It does get better but it is so intense. Add hormones and...well....I don't know one new mom who hasn't shed tears over how hard it is. You can get through this. This stage will not last forever. There are other hard stages but it does get better. You remind me so much of how I was when I had my son. I was so independent before and it was very hard for me but I am so glad I went through it (and am happily about to again). You're doing a great job. Much love to you!
