I totaly agree with author, I have upgraded original tensioner to manual and now there is no problem at all

Again another great presentation. I've got a gen 1 bike with less than 3000km (yes) on it which I acquired from a friend. I have to say after many decades of motorcycles all these issues are just mind boggling. Even my 89 ducati was less problem

Owh by the way. Are the shim on duke 390 outer diameter is 8.7mm?

That is really bad. Could cause a catastrophic failure to your engine thats a big chunk of metal goes missing.

Would be better to modified it using a long screw + nut and threadlock.
