I recently heard trump say that he believes he will go to heaven because he believes you have to be good. I love him but hope the lord opens his eyes to the reality of our sinful condition and his need of Jesus. I really don’t think he understands the true gospel… but sure love his policies and would vote for him. He is for religious freedom.

I have been a Christian for over 50 years. After the Jimmy Carter “born again” declaration in the 70s, I have learned that, as a Christian, it is an unrealistic (and perhaps dangerous) expectation to require that our political leaders have a certain level of belief or faith in God. We must be happy with leaders who allow and even encourage the “free exercise” of faith, have a proper understanding of life and gender issues, and support Israel.
