Hi Jonathan, on the one year anniversary of this crime I want to say thanks for covering it. I've never followed a real crime before until this case, it really boggles my mind to this day, and it has led me to educating myself about profiling and crime scene analysis and the patterns of how different types of criminals operate. I'll always remember these students in Idaho! It really struck a chord with me and always will.

I always thought it was Maddie and kohberger wasn't expecting Kaylee to be there because she had moved out. I have a feeling he is going to say that he has been in that house before. But how would that stick because friends of theirs would have recognised him after he got arrested. He is the guy without a doubt. He did this alone and i hope justice will be served. Man this trial needs to happen sooner then later. All the facts need to come out so a jury can decide a verdict and we can all move on. All this speculation is driving everyone insane, and the trial is the only thing that can clear this up.

The way I understood Steve, he meant that if Kaylee or Maddie were not the target, BK didn’t have to go upstairs.

I agree that Kohberger was probably fixated on Madison, and intended to only kill her, but encountered Kaylee in the same bed. I think then Ethan and Xana heard the attack and woke up, so he was forced to kill them as well.

My first idea was. Bryan had plotted this. Did dry runs and still hadn't done it before kaylee left. When kaylee came to visit . I'm thinking he saw posts she was there visiting and thought this was his last chance. Just a thought. Did he look in kaylees room first before going into maddies room?. It's hard to tell exactly what his exact thoughts and movements were. I really think he knew when they all got home and knew who was there. He was target fixated so he didn't care about anything that could happen. He was obsessed with doing this and nothing was stopping him. And i think xana and Ethan got in his way when he was trying to escape ... i hope to learn exactly what he did in trial. I doubt he will confess. He is pure darkness. He admitted he can do anything and not feel bad about it

The home’s layout was well documented online prior to the murders. It would be interesting to see if BK looked it up on Zillow. I want to hear about his computer searches in trial.

I believe Maddison was the target. The day Bryan was arrested, Kaylee's sister found an Instagram account for Bryan Kohberger and he had liked all of Maddie's pictures. I think Bryan was able to see in to the house from where he parked. In November the trees were bare. I hoped someone would go to the location today to show us how easy it was to see into the windows this time of year. I believe he was stalking her.

No way he could know Kaylee was there. She wasn't the intended target. If Dylan really yelled "Shut th f*** up!" he knew someone was awake on the 2nd floor. Maybe he thought only one room was on the 2nd floor (Xana's room) so he headed towards that room. He probably mistook Dylan's room for a closet or had tunnel vision. But in Xana's room there was another surprise for him, two people instead of one. That makes one target and 3 victims who were collateral damage. He thought he killed the whole house.

DM saw him leaving the house after walking by her bedroom on the 2nd floor, so that points to him going upstairs first, then down to the second floor, and left after Xana and Ethan.
