There are no conditions of sin. Sin is sin. Every sin is equal in God's eyes. He sees no difference between someone hating another and someone killing another.
In our earthly eyes and thoughts we think that the person who killed is SO much worse, but as Jesus said, if you have hate in your heart it is as if you had murdered.

I couldn't agree with you more, Fr. Gumby. Details. It's all about and all in the details. A lonely priest needs to know. If the young man's sin was alone and if it involved his penis, he should bring a picture of his penis, or at least a diagram. And if the sin involved pleasuring himself usiing either of his hands along with maybe some baby oil, he should specify which hand and along with the duration of the event and a detailed description of whatever climax may have ensued. And if online pornography facilitated the sin, the young man should provide a list of all the porn websites he visited so the priest can add them to whatever list the priest is maintaining. And then, in all fairness, the priest should share his burgeoning list with the young man. Finally, if the young man's sin involved another person, say a woman, the man should detail every move, how he did it, including everything with the hands, the mouth, and if any anal activity was involved. This will help the priest craft a very detailed and appropriate penance. You've really come up with a winner here, Gumby. Your mother has to be really proud of you.
