Braiding Sweetgrass is always a book I recommend to people who want to learn more about indigenous wisdom and responding to climate disaster. Love that book. Let This Radicalize You was also a top read of mine this year. I have Freedom is a Constant Struggle on shelf waiting its turn to be read. I also read How to Live in a Chaotic Climate by LaUra Schmidt at the beginning of this year. It had some amazing advice on how to cope with living through climate change. It also has a good intersectional framework. highly recommend! Great book list!

I think the main thing people forget when they say audiobooks aren’t real books… literacy is relatively new. Our ancestors were telling stories as a way to hand down knowledge and creativity for thousands upon thousands of years. Not to mention, in places like the United States, various aspects of literacy have been plummeting, and audiobooks can help with that.

Hello. Your hair looks so beautiful. 🤗 I recently bought four new books and I was feeling guilty because they were not ebooks or used books. They are for me and my son’s girlfriend for holiday gifts. I did buy them from sustainable indigenous shops online. Now after this video I feel better. 🙂 I also just found a crochet soap pouch tutorial on YouTube. I will be making one for me and if it works well, I will make them as gifts along with a bar of vegan healthy soap. I am interested in reading the Sweetgrass book. Thank you Emma! 😃🙌💗

These are great recommendations! Thank you. I had my Libby app out while you were recommending titles and was able to add some to my list!

I read (listened to) braiding sweet grass a few months ago with my library app. It truly is a wonderful book.

I just bought a book called La révolution écoféministe. I haven't started it yet, but am looking forward to.😊

I recently listened to Consumed by Aja Barber and I highly recommend! I think you may have mentioned it before? I'm not sure. Lots of info and read very well by the author!

How do I sign up for the Discord discussion group? I’ve had an account there for another group, but I don’t know how to add new ones. And can I mail you a check as a donation as I don’t trust YT/Google with my CC info. I think your channel is AWESOME (a word rarely by my age group)!

Ok, I copied the list of books you reviewed because I only have read/listed to Braiding Sweetgrass, which I listened to on a road trip. I will put into Libby for a few of them as sometimes you need to put in a hold to get in que for it.

Thriftbooks is very good but I've learned that the only truly independent bookstore online is Biblio.
