Why did a masked man ambush CEO Brian Thompson?

As the manhunt continues for the suspect, police are also still trying to figure out the motive for the killing of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson. FOX 5 NY's Teresa Priolo has the details.

Earlier tonight, I read a letter written by a doctor excoriating United Healthcare for denying a child’s anti-nausea medication. The child was undergoing chemo, the doctor prescribed anti-nausea medication. This is who United Healthcare is and the profit at all cost culture that the CEO was known for.

His profiting off of the death of countless people through extremely high denial rates had consequences. People like him cost the lives of millions to increase the value of the stock for their shareholders and this is passed off as normal.

I needed expensive and intricate neck surgery which United denied. They asked me to get a second opinion with a surgeon of THEIR choice. He recommended the exact same procedure my own surgeon recommended.

They STILL denied it. Exasperated and in great pain as days of delay turned into weeks, I cut my surgeon a check for $18, 000 for the portion of the surgery they would not approve. It was despicable and is emblematic of the frustration people experience dealing with these companies.
