The camera perspective you mentioned is critical for this to work right for the price you’ll pay.
This in the middle will have it perfect. The more left or right you get, players and scenes will be curved one way or the other. Not good if I’m forking over $100+ a game.

All-in-all though, I think this is indeed the future of attending games and concerts as the cost of seeing the event live is quickly pricing out the common man.

You asked what would stop this type of venue from expanding anywhere? It is obvious that the cost to build and operate this type of event space is very high compared to a normal type arena. So the tickets to attend any event would be extremely expensive and not affordable for most working class sports or theater, or concert event attendees. So places like Los Angeles where you have a large enough population of well off fans it most likely will succeed. However in smaller metropolitan areas I feel it would not have a large enough market to succeed long term.

Going to the L.A. location on Saturday morning to watch the Mizzou-Texas A&M game. Tickets are $11 for access to the first floor of the hall. $22 gets you access to both levels, plus any unsold SRO areas in the dome. Reservations for the dome range between $99 - 300. Keep in mind these prices are for a 9am college game. I’m very curious what the experience will be like

I can see this being really good for viewing parties depending on pricing. Games such as road playoff games for teams' fans to congregate in an in person like feeling.

I remember when closed circuit telecasts of major fights or World Cup matches, which were only available at arenas or large venues, from the 1970s and 1980s. Cosm takes it to a whole new level.
I don’t think Cosm will take away telecast rights from broadcasters or streamers, they will just provide an enhanced version of a telecast for a premium price.
Imagine when Cosm is in every market and they partner up with the NFL. A ticket for the Super Bowl or big playoff game will generate the kind of demand that a major concert act, incoming to a city, would get.
I could see Cosm, or a similar service, eventually installed temporarily in a large arena or dome stadium for special event programming.

Got a ticket to the 9/21 Man United match at COSM LA. Similar to the Sphere in Vegas which I saw U2 three times!

This seems like an uphill battle. Even though movie theaters provide better quality picture and sound than home TV, they are closing at high rates nationwide. People are opting to wait for movies to come out on streaming. With this platform, there are only 2 or 3 big boxing matches and 3 or 4 big UFC matches a year. 1 Final Four, 1 National Championship, and 1 Super Bowl. People are not going to watch the week 5 of the NFL season at this place. I think a better play is to be like IMAX, license your name and place your technology in excesting movie theaters. This way theaters can play regular movies every day and the nights of those big events they can show sports. They will never be able to cover the cost of rent, marketing, and overhead with their current model.

Getting this type of feel at the 16th hole of the Waste Management Phoenix Open, without having to endure the idiots that take pride in trying to find out how obnoxious they can be, would be amazing to experience without the worry of having someone landing on you as they tumble off the balcony from the 2nd deck of a hospitality tent....
