Alec and Izzy have always been my favourite characters in the entire series, since the books, and Em and Matt really illustrated that beautifully, the but Lightwood siblings don't always get a lot of attention so I'm always so happy when they do. I absolutely adore how you consitantly manage to bring the characters to life and create, or more appropriately, highlight the story within the story. It doesn't need to be said again but you do amazing work and this is no exception❤

Okay; so I have been bingeing on Shadowhunters the last couple of weeks and have been steadily going through all of your vids, and they are all so AMAZING! 😍 but I have to say... this one actually brought me to tears. I love the Lightwoods so much; and you’ve shown so beautiful how they’re always there for each other. And that song ❤️ thank you SO SO much for this ❤️

Their relationship was awesome. I loved how it developed over the seasons.

Alec was closed off even with Izzy with his personal life at the start but as Alec started to deal with his feelings and emotions and grew whilst he fell in love with Magnus, we saw him open up more and more to Izzy with his problems. Even going to her for advice about losing his virginity with Magnus and confiding in her about his deal with Asmodeous (something he didn't tell anyone else).

Izzy also grew when she confided in him about her struggles with Yin Fen. She allowed herself to tell Alec how weak it made her feel and trusted him to be there.

Such a beautiful relationship between siblings based on mutal love, trust and respect.
