This is actually not true. Californians have raised the cost of living substantially! From 2019 to 2022, the median home price in Ada County increased by over $220, 000 to $566, 000. Don’t believe me. Look it up.

As someone who lives in Boise, I recall that house being listed for maybe 8 million dollars a few years ago and house prices in Boise have increased significantly since then. If this house is truly selling for 4 millions (doubtful), then there must be a good reason for that. Many houses in that part of Boise suffer from issues such as the land beneath it sliding down the hill and poor construction. While Boise is still cheaper than many places, it is not as cheap as many think and prices are increasing rapidly. Cost of living here is now more expensive than some of the suburbs of NYC. This is especially true for eating out.

As an idahoan thats definitely not true. A ghetto 1bdr apartment cost $1000+ you used to be able to rent a 3bdr 2bth apartment for $600. I miss those days I'm not even that old. 😅
