2 Neutral or solid colour background
3 Wear a proper clothes (formal)
4 your photo should be taken from elbow up
DON'T
1 Don't hold ur favourite furry friend
2 don't use ur out update photo (photo is not old)
3 Don't look away from the camera
4 Don't wear hat or sunglasses

One of my favorite don'ts is to "don't look away from the camera". This is so important especially on LinkedIn.

Something I did not see mention but also important is nowadays it’s easy to touch up and even drastically modify the photo, adding artificial key light, fill lights as well as touch ups. For the cover of Vogue this maybe ok but for a business photo you are trying to portray honestly and transparency, a business photo, linked or Resume, should not look too artificial or have obvious post modifications.

Thank you for the video, in your opinion do you feel that employers really consider your LinkedIn profile? Also, I live in a low employment area. I'm concerned that I'm pouring a lot of energy into LinkedIn and it may be useless. Are there any statistical evidence that LinkedIn is being used even in smaller places? I don't know a lot of people as I've moved into town from a smaller.I really wasn't in touch with most of the people I went to school with in this town, I regret that a lot now. Any advice on how to find some good references to put on your LinkedIn
