Hopes and Fears was released the same day that I was born. Every time my dad and I listen to this song, he tells me about how he held me peacefully for the first time ever, whilst this song played in the background. I’ve grown up having this song in my head my whole life, and it just suits every emotional moment - happy or sad. It is truly a beautiful song. ❤️

Haunting and beautiful song. Ive been listening to this song off and on since its release and I've yet hear one with more raw emotion. A masterpiece in every aspect.

I have to say this... I love Keane as a band.. for me personally it was the band and music that most impacted me to this day. I love the way Tom expresses himself through singing, it is not for the sake of performance, but expression of his inner world... It is not like "my voice needs to sound perfect", it is a real expression of feelings and flaws just make it more real and beautiful. Love it :)

There are so many songs of Keane that I could name to be my favourite - but in the end, if I'd have to choose only one, this would be it.
The lyrics are rather simple for knowing Tims poetic abilities, however it's transporting emotions that we all know so well in such a beautiful and profound way, and the building-up structure of the song in combination with Toms alluring voice... for me, all this makes this the ultimate Keane song 😊
