The 2020 Mercedes GLS 580 that has a starting cost of $97,800 is important as it is the first hybrid V-8 from Mercedes-Benz. When compared with this entry-level GLS 450 4Matic, the #MercedesGLS580 swaps the inline-six 3.0-liter for a bigger 4.0-liter V8, both of which feature an integrated electric motor system. Power increases from 362 hp and 369 lb-ft into 483 hp and 516 lb-ft from the GLS 580 4MATIC. Both engines are mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission and AWD system.
