a little life will always hold a special place in my heart 🥺I remember reading it at the end of last year and just feeling so grateful for life afterwards. I want to read breakfast at tiffany's so badly, this video is my reminder to stop putting it off haha. love your reviews and your shelves! happy reading 💖

I think Toibin is like Toe-Bean and Chiam is said like High-Am. (Hey man are you high? High am!) Great review. I know I should read Catcher in the Rye and Breakfast at Tiffany's. Never got around to it but they are definitely classics.

Great video. I have A Little Life sitting on my Kindle and I'm kind of scared to read it. 😂 I picked up a copy of Brooklyn recently too. It sounds like a great story.

City of Girls by elizabeth Gillbert is supposed to be really featuring New York, for me I liked the Great Gatsby about New York, esp cos it focuses on the New York that is separate from the city and more the NE Coast. Have u been to NYC Elly? I saw 2 vlogs lately that featured Toni Morrison JAzz and Syvia Plath the Bell Jar both set in New york but I think the last one is maybe hard to read - about mental decline? Have u read these?

I like this video idea! I watched Brooklyn a while ago, and had no idea it was based on a book, I can probably find it in a used book store! Washington Square was pretty good, I read it when I ran out of Jane Austen novels, but the ending is a bit more realistic I guess 😅
