POV

During the war, Y/n is severely injured and is on the verge of death. She was fighting Akainu while helping Ace and Luffy to escape. Her face got slashed with three strikes by Blackbeard while defending Whitebeard causing her to lose more blood. Her vision is already blackening to pass out but she refused to do so with strong willpower.

While clutching onto her injuries, Akainu forcefully removes her face mask to show her real face to the world but bc her blood is covering her face, it is not so recognizable and the fire is not helping much either. Looking at her features, he recognized it and was shocked by the discovery.

This is just an idea and I have mixed feelings about this. I might make this happen in the book. Also planning to make this vague as possible
