Russian forces are now using a massive new glide bomb.

After a period of experimentation lasting several months, the Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS) successfully launched its first UMPK FAB-1500 M54 high-explosive fragmentation bomb on a target. The bomb is reported to have struck the designated position with precision.

Ukraine is getting the ground launched small diameter bombs very soon. These weapons has a range of 94 miles (twice that of Ukraine's current HIMARS rockets). They should help Ukraine greatly.

Well, like you said, accuracy might not important but still able to kill thousands of innocent as children, which is bad for Ukraine. Ukraine must come up with something to counter this bomb soon.

If they have a range of 37 miles, the launching planes have to get within range of some of Ukraine's SAM systems. Dunno if NASAMS equipped with AIM-120D or AMRAAM-ER can make life interesting for those pilots but surely the S-300 can. But this is yet another reason why F-16s can't get to Ukraine fast enough.

Ukraine have drones which will strike any airfield close to the border. And factories which are producing bombs and rockets. But what Ukraine needs the most are A10 Warthog not F16.

Ukraine needs to start stockpiling nice cheap JDAMs for when their new squadrons come into service next year. They are busily working on destroying Russian radar and s complex systems right now so that when those squadrons come on line it will be like that Oprah Winfrey free car show "You get a JDAM and you get a JDAM. YOU ALL GET JDAM !!!" lmao And their planes will get AMRAAM so they will just have to back off now won't they?

I have heard that accuracy of 5 meters from russian weapons claim before so is most likely not true, also given that they no longer fly into Ukrainian territory the ideal maximum possible range of this bomb probably barely reaches the frontline if it even does reach it.
