Executive Director of the National Breast Cancer Coalition Annette Bar-Cohen met with us to talk about the NBCC’s Project LEAD.

The NBCC’s Project LEAD is their training program for breast cancer advocates. Breast cancer advocates attend this four-day course on the basics of molecular biology in genetics, genomics, epidemiology, research methodology, and advocacy training.

According to Annette Bar-Cohen, training and education is key for the kind of advocacy they do. It’s important that advocates are trained, educated and could contribute and influence decisions that were being made.
