Wise words from a wise man “Let’s use the Bible as our standard! 🙌🏾🙏🏾❤️

If God designed a marital covenant as the highest bond between man and woman, why then ARE YOU SILENT LORD?? I have been broken, humbled and the Lord is rebuilding me each day, to the point that I am so grateful to be able to now understand and see what was meant by the marital covenant. I also have a clearer understanding of the marital roles, thanks to Dr. Evans, John MacArthur, and Max Lucado to name a few……
I have been praying in the Spirit, for the Lord to restore my marriage but I am losing hope as the papers from my husbands lawyers keep coming….
Biblically I have been abandoned…..my husband refuses to communicate with me on any level. I know my God is able, I know my God can do anything above all that I ask or even think….::
But as I mentioned…. I’m losing hope…..Father I believe, please help my unbelief

Pastor Evans, in the case of desertion: stealing money, stealing items, speaking evil to me at night while I’m sleep, replacing items for me to appear as I’m losing my mind. Do these deeds support divorce by desertion?

If someone lied his/herself into marriage for beneficial reason is that a reason for divorce?

This short message seems too basic. I just learned of a person who has a highly esteemed ministry who has been divorced at least three times. Why are people still allowed or released to lead in ministry when they have broken vows multiple times?

Yet churches and other institutions book them to minister and offer them so much praise for their testimony and godly service. I know they are forgiven. But I don’t seem to see a brokenness in the form of humility in these people. Even sharing about their experience would help others, I would think, so they can help another couple not walk through such a difficult situation. If they are embarrassed, good, tell us. Show us the truth.

Also, why are these people remarrying over and over again? I thought Jesus shared about marriage, if you are divorced you should not remarry. Maybe I am wrong, I hope. I understand if unfaithfulness caused the separation. However, how many soul mates will you vow to remain with, but end the marriage because they have cheated on you? If that is the case, maybe a root issue must be dealt with long before the person enters into yet another marriage covenant.

Answers please from an Oak Cliff pastor. I am seriously asking these questions. I am lacking understanding in reference to this now popular reality in Christianity: multiple marriages in church leadership.

What happens when the person acting as a non believer, does have legitimate reasons ie sexual infidelity (on both sides), but the believer is willing to reconcile (God spoke restoration and reconciliation many times) but the non believer is unwilling? The divorce has been legally processed, but believer believes covenant was broken by man and not God; is the believer still bound?

Wrong interpretation...christ said fornication and adultery... he has misunderstanding of Paul's admonition...

He's not interpreting scripture correctly. Jesus was speaking when a believer who has entered into marriage to a non-believer. This guy is saying what he feels. Read your bible people!

What about an Open Marriage?
Wouldn't an Open Mariage be better than getting a divorce especially if there are children?
The Open Marriage means both the Husband and Wife agree that they are able to see other people (discreetly) if they so choose so that they can stay married and not break up the family.

Hireling....God hates how these wolves can go to 1 Cor. 7:15 and ignore the verses around that verse. Especially 10, 11, 39...Making Paul a double minded liar...It is Tony that is the liar (Rev. 21:18) Don't fall into the ditch with him....Mark and avoid.
