i feel like they are also safer injury wise because of the difficulty. like when ur learning it’s really hard to make them go at all let alone fast enough to hurt yourself, and by the time you are more fluid, you have probably built up your ankle mobility and strength enough to be pretty resilient.

I've just learnt to use these at the pump track. So much fun 💜. I've had quite a few ankle injuries skateboarding but not on these. Its so much easier to bail because they're separate and they dont seem to flick up into the ankles, at least that's what I've found.
