They said I would never be able to do it.

I am very invested in protecting Oak trees and promoting the mighty acorn as an amazing food source, I am thrilled to add yet another use for abundant acorns - as a natural wood stain. I let my intuition lead me to this place and I am very pleased with the results.
Title Explanation:
I was told in 2006 that I would soon not walk if I did not have a very invasive surgery to stabalize my herniating brain. I opted not to have the brain surgery. It has been nearly 20 years and I have been able to avoid surgery through regular yoga practice, diet and other lifestyle changes. I write all this just to let you understand that working on a ceiling has been an absolute NO and yet I managed to do it without any issues! I'll admit I was worried but now that it is finished I am so glad to know I am capable of so much more then that NYC brain surgeon could ever imagine.
Have a great week,
MM

That’s a beautiful ceiling!
The raw metal beams with the subtle stained wood!
Glorious!
No, it does look darker on the camera, as well.
Good job!
That would be a nice ceiling for any room, anywhere!

Am I right in understanding that you have working on this renovation for 24 years?!? Talk about perseverance! The place is looking fantastic you must be so pleased.

Hi Marcie, I have worked with pressurised timber for years, your trellis should be good for 15years, we don't normally paint it for the first 2years. The stain is a winner and makes the ceiling look high quality. Greetings from South Lakes District, North West England xx.

well done you magical woman! I love the choice you made not to have the 'life saving'' invasive surgery and here you are doing what they predicted you wouldn't be able to do! I love it and I love the ceiling its warm and so much better. The universe provides, and you have attracted so many supportive men to help you get this project done, good on you!

Bravo brave dear Marcie❣ You made a major personal breakthrough by using your acorn extract. Excellent effect🙏🌸🌿❤ I wish you a happy Greek midsummer holiday on the 15th of August. You deserve to rest and enjoy some swimming and sunshine 💖🎀🌼

Love the mix of rustic and industrial that you get from the combination of the steel beams with the warm toned wood. Bravo!

The paint you chose for the beams certainly looks good and contrasts nicely with the lumber. You've got an eye for this!

I know this is too late but perhaps for the other rooms: There are buckets that you can attach to your ladder for doing paint/stain work like this. Or perhaps you can make your own little patenta. Edit: Nevermind I see that you did make your own patenta! ;)
Edit2: Oh wow! Those pictures really show the final result. I love it!

BTW.... We are outside of Marathonas and watching this lovely video is giving me a bit of calm in the constant stream of updates about the fires. I didn't stop checking the news since waking up this morning and my thumb hurts... Luckily we are saved by the wind direction and are outside the path of the fire.

Certainly richer colour and removes the yellow tinge as you mentioned, matches well with those beams. Interesting, l didn't know you had children, so pleased you have family support against the sabotage of the neighbour from hell. Good luck with the Trellis build hope it stays up this time 🤞

4:40 at least, the electrical tube, should be on the other side of the wooden beam so not to be seen

What is the recipe for the stain? I would buy it from you if you were local.
