One of the Longest & Most Dramatic Matches in Club Volleyball History !!! After PalaPanini, also PalaBarton. The 2025 of Itas Trentino men continues in the name of away victories on fields that have historically been very difficult for the yellow-blue colors; this evening the European Champion team continued its good moment of form in the second half of the SuperLega Credem Banca (marked only by victories), achieving the great feat: imposing the first seasonal defeat to the championship-winning Sir Susa Vim Perugia, right in front of its fans, in an epic match, lasting two hours and forty minutes, with a tie break that ended 22-24 after forty minutes of play.
The streak of twenty-three consecutive victories of the Umbrians, which lasted since last April, was erased thanks to the constant comeback of the yellow-blues in the clash at the top of the regular season scheduled for the sixteenth round. A result that diametrically reopens the race for first place in the standings (still the prerogative of the block devils, who have a four-point advantage but also one more game played), the result of character and the desire to never give up. Down 0-1 and then also 1-2 and 11-13 in the fifth set, Fabio Soli's team always found the strength to get back up and start again, engaging in an exhausting and exhilarating arm wrestling at the same time in the fifth set with their opponents, in which all sorts of things happened, between players who had to leave the court due to cramps (Plotnytskyi, Ishikawa and Sbertoli) and match points cancelled in Perugia (ten consecutive, between 12-14 and 22 all).
