I've been using the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 as my daily driver for the last 6 months, and how I feel about it today versus how I felt about it before I used it is totally different.

It's going to be hard to go back to a "normal" phone.

Thank you. Finally a reviewer makes an honest review of the phone instead of nitpicking the smallest of issues. The terrible, lazy reviews of this phone more than likely ruined the progress the Fold 4 was supposed to make. Instead, Samsung has to worry about making the phone lighter due to the soy boys complaining about 30 grams of extra weight🤦🏼‍♂️ GRAMS bro 🤦🏼‍♂️

I have the galaxy fold 3 and fold 2 and both the phones have a huge difference! The galaxy fold 3 is very well optimized and built!!

my personal points ( had it since last September) sketchy sounds when unfolding but not issues at all, just started getting the protector popping off now. big tip for me is remembering that unfolded is the main way it was built and only having it folded on travel and quick responses. Gboard is updating for foldable phones and tablets for split keyboard. so I'm very excited for. Great review and glad to see someone with the same mindset

6 months later and I love it! Great video I agree with everything you said. The 2 things I don't like are the keyboard which causes many typos and the screen protector is absolute trash. Mine cracked down the middle and samsung tried to say it was user caused damage smh. I've just ordered a new one off of Amazon because none of the Samsung recommended repair shops even carry one. Thank you for making a great review at just under 7 mins it was perfectly timed! Keep up the great work! I'm now a sub!

Maybe try split Mode on samsung keyboard? It's a beast Mode for that.
Just try it and You will Love it after few minutes.
Also I would recommend GoodLock apps (or FineLock if the first one is not available for You). After You DL it try to change navigation buttons inside of it putting check mark near Z Fold option :)

People DONT worry about the Fold breaking when dropped. People worry about longevity. There are tons of reports about the display breaking after as soon as less than a year. And THIS is just unacceptable for such high price tags.
A phone this price should last a long time but with these screens it's impossible to buy them used or sell them because there's a high chance of the screen breaking soon.
On a normal phone this just isn't an issue.

And seriously, 4h SoT with 15% left is RIDICULOUSLY BAD. This is on par or even worse than the iPhone 12 mini and people complained about this a LOT.

Wow, not even 5 hour battery life is absolutely horrible ☹️ samsumg needs to add a 7, 500mah BARE MINIMUM to compete with the iphone 14 pro max soon

I had mine also since launch. The best phone I've had BY far. Cannot go back now lol. My screen protector is still there perfectly fine lol. I thought it wasn't even removable till now lol.

Edit: Yes about the keyboard. It is insane how many errors I've made with it

Just watched your "wrong about the Z fold 3" vid. (1st of your vids I've watched.)
I've had mine about 3mos, replacing the Note 10+ with a zeroLemon battery case. You addressed almost all of my initial concerns.

Weight & size: it fits my hand much better than any big phone on the market. & I can one-hand it unfolded. Weight is actually a bit less than I was used to.

Battery life: setting it at 85% somehow stopped it dying on me.

Camera: I added "open camera" app. That & the system update that added a lot of the 22 Ultra camera options - I'm more than happy w/the pix. I can tweak & almost duplicate what my sister & her daughter (the photographer) can do w/ their 22 Ultra. Resolution is the only continuing distraction.

Keyboard: designed for the stylus, not a finger. HOWEVER, I have discovered that using the "sliding finger" to type is even easier than using the stylus/pen (which I have used for 5 yrs on the Note(s).) Once you try it, you rarely have typos.
EXCEPT: I have multiple language keyboards installed & it routinely slides into Spanish. And its logic then misspells common words trying to make them Spanish.
But yes, until I learned the "swipe type", the mis-types were horrendous.

S Pen: I have purchased 4 & lost 3. (Not the Plus). Because they don't store in the phone, they are at best problematic. S Pen Plus is so large i'm not even comfortable trying to learn it. So at $99@ that was wasted $$$. And with the keyboard & fingertip, not even really needed.

CAVEAT: The initial phone I received directly from Samsung killed a single pixel cell on the inside screen within 2 weeks. The repair shops all say "Its a known issue that is deemed to be damage." Interestingly, no one I know with a replacement that did not come directly from Samsung, or that purchased from anyone but Samsung, has had that issue. (There is no way I could have created the damage in the way they described- it was fine &clean. & it was folded in a zipped, inside coat, chest pocket behind a cloth shoulder bag. No bouncing, no dirt, no hits.)
Thank you.
(Try the swipe keyboard technique. You'll love it.)

Had mine from launch. Was originally holding out for a like for like Note 10+ replacement which we eventually got with the s-pen Ultra's. Honestly though as far as battery goes, I've been very happy with it. It's been better than all my previous samsung phones. S6e, S7e, Note8 and Note 10+. Note 10+ was the first phone where the battery didn't feel glaringly under powered. I had a lot of skepticism about the phone abandoning the Note's but one handed comfy is a solid plus and having a tablet all-in-one was so so worth it.

As far as camera's go. I mean, they're decently better than the Note 10 so I'm happy enough. Really a proper high powered optical zoom would be the most welcome addition along with consistency in sensor quality between each camera if I had to nit pick.

Thing's I'd be interested in seeing - possible aspect ration change. I wonder what a stubbier front would be like if the crease was perpendicular to the horizontal rather than vertical edge. Screenshots are a pain in the ass too with the button placement. I'm sure there could be a better solution.

Lastly, a design (if possible) more amenable to case design. Good looking well fitted cases that cause no extra issues would go a long way.

That last "problem" is related to the narrow external screen. My hesitation in buying the Fold 3 or even the upcoming Fold 4 comes from the fact that I will likely be doing a lot of messaging on the external screen rather than opening up the main screen just to reply someone. I am also likely going to face the same error-prone typing due to the narrow screen compared to other foldable phones such as Huawei Mate XS 2 or Vivo X Fold. A bigger (or at least closer to a normal slab phone) external screen is definitely better.

If u type on the big screen with the screen horizontal, its super easy to type, even easier then a normal phone

Something you didnt mention which you may not have experienced but, in theUS if you use Tmobile or any carrier that uses their service, just dont bother with this phone unless you want to constantly return it until you get a phone that works. After a couple months when this phone came out t mobile lines strugled to get even 3g or 4g/lte. Most people that had this problem returned it or kept getting replacements until one worked. Idk if theyve fixed it but luckily im not with a carrier plan and i just swaped to virizion. So do your research if u use tmobile, but u might also luck out, it is only a small but not minor percentage of users

Well, the Keyboard on the big screen is what I like the most, actually. On the small screen it is a tiny bit too small.

Just watch the video I struggle with the keyboard on the front screen too curious to know what keyboard folks are using if they found one they're happy with
