This week, I'm with Burnley manager and Premier League legend Vincent Kompany at the club's Barnfield Training Centre as he takes on Quickfire Questions on The Overlap, brought to you by Sky Bet.

During his playing days at Anderlecht, Vincent donned the number 27 shirt, so it felt like a fitting tribute to ask him 27 questions as we walk around his new stomping ground in the heart of Burnley.

We discuss his time at Manchester City and Belgium, facing a young Kylian Mbappé against Monaco, and we also delve into the true origin of where French fries come from!

The full interview will be released next week, so make sure to subscribe now and turn on notifications if you like!

He is going all the way as a manager. Incredible attitude and thoughtfulness. Special guy.

One of the only city players I ever liked. No falseness and he really understands football. When he said “north west of England”, you get the impression that he REALLY understands the game. It’s where the a lot of the founding members of the football league are Accrington, Bolton, Burnley, Blackburn, Preston, Everton.

When you see those old stadiums like Goodison & Turf Moor just looming up out of the houses in the middle of a town and go through the old turnstiles that are so small and cramped; you really start to feel something change inside you. You realise that this has been going on for 150 years and that players like Sir Tom Finney & Sir Stanley Matthews will have once gone through the same turnstiles. You realise that you’re part of the history too.

As a Liverpool fan, I could never seem to dislike Kompany. As much as I tried I always thought he was a great player and seemed a top bloke.

Am i the only one who loves Kompany's accent? Its like a proper english accent with the odd touch of French speaker to it🤯

I always enjoy listening to Vincent Kompany. A very intelligent man, who takes his time to give full explanations when answering questions and provides contexts and back stories where necessary.

Joe Hart will always be a City legend, at least in my eyes, for all the things Vinny mentioned

Even as a rival fan I’ve always found Kompany very interesting to watch/listen. Great player and manager. Good interview

Can’t stop thinking about the fact that he was kicked out of school and yet so clearly has so much to offer the world. Hate the idea that others are thrown on the scrap heap in the same situation.
