This is a very important video folks should be aware of. I've tested myself and the VOD WAS with copyrighted music. I should've done something wrong but nevertheless, I 100% concur on not streaming copyrighted music.
Thanks for the video Frugal!

I just wish they would get it worked out so games like Pistol Whip and Beat Saber weren't hot potatoes. They are based around music and I would love to stream them but just don't want to chance it. I had my stream muted before because of music that was playing in Call of Duty, that was part of the official soundtrack.... YIKES !

Great demo of the new feature. Videos are great as always.

One issue... the continued use of "copyright free"

There is no such thing as copyright free anything... All works are copyrighted the moment the work is created - be it music, video, written words, etc. Even this post is protected by copyright the moment the comment button is clicked - upon hitting the button I have agreed to be bound by YouTube Terms of Service which covers the protections and uses granted this comment.

We need to be using the proper terms to stop the confusion... licensed "royalty free" copyrighted music/video... the RIAA is using the DMCA to stop the unlicensed use of copyrighted works of their members portfolios.

licenseassociated

A content creator that uses top 10 music lure in the crowds is expected to obtain the proper Synchronization licenses and media to use other's works in their video productions - then pay that owner the agreed percentage of revenue from the production based on the playlist used.

Do not have the budget for budget for proper licenses, use readily available royalty free works and playlists in your productions and have a copy of the works licenses readily available.

What's the point of even making a VOD track then? As far as I can tell, there isn't one

This video is so dumb. Almost a clickbait. Separating audio will remove songs from VOD, but ofc won't remove them from live stream. The key word is "live". If companies can scan live content, then ofc they will DMCA. The whole point of splitting audio is to have audio be present live, but not be in VOD. So yeah, playing music will DMCA, but splitting has nothing to do with it. VOD is saved without music.
