Uh hi, person with OCD here, please don't use the term "intrusive thoughts" to describe what is clearly impulsive eating. Intrusive thoughts are awful thoughts or imagery that are extremely distressing and completely go against a person's morals, and are almost never acted on. Impulsive thoughts are just urges to do or say things, such as having an impulse to trip someone or in this case, eating impulsively. Referring to impulsive thoughts as intrusive thoughts is not only harmful towards the OCD community but also extremely offensive and dismissive towards the real effects and struggles of Intrusive thoughts.
