Story: The final battle rages on. Limbo is being ravaged by Exorcists tearing their way through the hotel on their way to Hell. The sinners were evacuated beforehand, all that was left were the Exorcists against the Redemptionists as well as the Powers. Under Sera's command, the Powers were sent to Limbo to assist Adam in preventing the Exorcists from making it to Hell. Vaggie decided to confront her predecessor.

Lute, despite refusing to regenerate her arm, is still a big threat. While she didn't hate Vaggie when the arm slash incident happened, she won’t hesitate to take her down. Before she left the Exorcists, Lute and Vaggie were on civil terms. Vaggie was an impressive new recruit at the time, so much so that people joked that she would replace Lute. Did it occasionally get under her skin? Yes but she knew her position was safe.

And then came along Lute’s final Extermination Day. That was the year that Lute and her sinner sister faced off for the last time. She should have rejoiced when the killing blow landed on her demonic murderer yet… she had a mental breakdown. This was not what she expected. In a vulnerable mental state, she spotted Vaggie about to strike down what was either a sinner child or a hellborn? Hard to say, her tears blocked her vision. A total accident that her arm got cut. There were no hard feelings & Vaggie was apologetic but it was the final straw that broke Lute and led her to ditching the Exorcists.

Upon learning that Lute became a follower of Adam, did her reputation take a bigger hit. The average murder victim in Heaven is anti redemption and the few that are open to the idea are mocked. Essentially, a murder victim is peer pressured into agreeing with the Exorcists. Vaggie began to hate her for the betrayal.

Vaggie’s wings got cut. It should be easy to regenerate back but the sword Lute was using had the power of Cain’s curse via his blood. Her wings weren’t about to regenerate easily. Limbo was destabilizing due to the fight between angels, with occasional dimensional rifts forming that led to Hell. Vaggie fell through a rift & crash landed. No wings, no weapon, nothing. And she's in Hell, alone.

But it got worse: Charlie Morningstar welcomed her. A fallen angel? What a treat. With her was her entourage of sinners: Niffty, Husk, & her favorite, Alastor. Each of whom are overlords of Greed, Envy, & Pride respectively. Vaggie was dragged deeper into Pride. No one except Charlie & her inner circle knew about the wounded angel in their grasp.

Vaggie was trapped. No one is coming to help her. And she's at the mercy of the Princess of Hell, who keeps staring at her with a certain… look in her eye.

CHAGGIE! ‘But why Chappell Roan?’ Because Vaggie and Charlie are sapphic queens and their meeting set to a lesbian song is iconic. Toxic Yuri is a go. This is a Stockholm Syndrome situation. No one in Heaven knows she landed in Hell. She can't fly back and everyone else knows that she is missing. Charlie is fixated on her because she has never been near an Exorcist in this manner. She would witness the slaughter from afar. Having the 2nd in command is a big deal. But her dad can't find out just yet. It's a surprise.

Reminder that Lute in this AU was a human killed by her sister (who debuts in this vid). I unoriginally named her sister Callie. Why? Because Callie is a reference to Calmana. Lute and her sister are reincarnations of Calmana and Luluwa (these are actual biblical names). These two would have been the respective brides of Cain and Abel 10,000 years ago before the bride project got shelved after the 1st murder. God secretly reincarnated their souls into the modern day. No one knows about this aside from God. The ring on her hand was a matching promise ring that Abel gave her to signify the strength of their relationship. And then, symbolically, she loses the arm it was on and shortly afterwards, breaks up with Abel. And yes, this fight is happening in the ruins of the hotel (I suck at architecture).

p.s. The Powers are a type of angel. They are the swap AU equivalent of the cannibals. They're portrayed with flowers, use swords, fight off evil forces & oversee mortal rulers on earth (flower pattern on masks, crown shape on their helmets). They are ancient heavenborn warriors whose uniform influenced the design of the Exorcist uniform.

+Charlie has a fixation on Vaggie not just because of her fallen angel status, but because the Mark of Cain was still glittering on her forehead. Cain has been M.I.A from Hell for thousands of years. He was really good at wandering the Earth trying to hide from the Morningstars. What became of him was a mystery to them. Charlie has no love for her adoptive little brother but she knows how much he meant to her parents. He had something to do with the circumstances involving Vaggie’s arrival and it cemented her decision in dragging her back to the palace. No way was Charlie gonna let something like that slip between her fingers.

+Sinners are NOT confined to the Pride Ring. You get sorted into the ring that fits your sin best. When Extermination Day happens, ALL of Hell is razed down from top to bottom.

+A sinner can't sell their soul to another sinner. They're both mortal souls, soul selling can only happen between a demon and a mortal. Said mortal must be alive at the time. Selling your soul means automatic damnation, the demon contract you made drags you down to be with said demon. If you sell your soul in life, you become an Overlord in death. That's the only way for a mortal to achieve powers in Hell. If you die and go to Hell without selling your soul first, you don't get powers.

+”Does this make Eve an Overlord?” Technically yes, which is how she would have powers in Hell when she gets freed from her tree prison. But she is a special case.

+The type of demon you sell your soul to impacts the ring you get sorted into (ex: sell your soul to Mammon, you go to Greed)

+Alastor, Niffty, and Husk were alive in the 1940s. Each of them engaged in the occult and were associates. Alastor sold his soul to Lilith while Husk and Niffty sold their souls to Mammon and Leviathan respectively. Charlie took control of his soul contract after asking her mom. Alastor embraces being an evil troublemaker and along with his old timey mannerisms, made him her favorite sinner. Charlie primarily resides in Pride and had taken Mammon’s and Leviathan’s contracts to her possession so that Alastor could be reunited with Husk and Niffty. Because Swap AU, these 3 take the place of the Vees.

+Selling your soul is painful and you are at the whims of the demon you sell it to. Sinners can move between rings after they spend their mortal lifetime on said ring (ex. A sinner dies at 20 and gets sorted into Envy. Said sinner cannot move to other parts of Hell until after 20 years, the length of their sentence in that ring)

Imagine if this version of the actual Vees (Vox, Valentino, and Velvette) weren't Overlords or even Sinners but instead Winners like Sir Pentious, each of them having been sacrificed by Alastor, Niffty, and Husk respectively in order to summon Lilith, Leviathan, and Mammon, with the three making it into Heaven and are currently siding with the Redemptionists and helping at the Hotel (much like Alastor, Husk, and Niffty in the actual show) despite the pressure of siding with the Exorcists for different more selfish reasons
