2018 Honda Odyssey - Auto door issue

My new 2018 Honda Odyssey's sliding door won't close...

Are you experiencing this issue and how did you fixed it?

I know its 2 years later but may help someone. I had the same problem with my Sienna. I fixed mine by spraying some white lithium grease on a paper towel and wiping the track that the door rolls on. If there is caked on dirt or debris on the track, the door will sense a block and re-open. I also lightly sprayed the rollers, pins and spring. Door works great now. Might be a good idea to do this once a year.

This happened to me for a full year, and I took it back to the dealer so many times. Finally, they figured out the track was bent.

I was having a similar issue too. Then I looked up under back of the door and there is a rubber weather sealant piece that was dangling due to broken plastic clips. I'm just trying to find out more about these clips. Was wondering if others had this issue too.

Might also later try the white lithium grease, the first comment said after im done too.

What i found is when the battery is getting old (2years i know) it starts doing that aswell as some other sensors not work either. Replacing the battery fixes or resets the system.

I have the same issue same year and same side sliding door. Ugh it’s a pain

Same issue with 2018. Dealer won’t fix it because it works at times.

My sister odyssey 2017 is having this same issue and they worked on it 4 times and lost faith in Honda.
