Thanks for pointing these limitations out. I am still amazed when I turn mine on and find out how much it can do. I haven't used the generator for anything yet. I had no idea it would appear that accurate, relatively clean, and go below -100 dBm without an external attenuator.

This is fantastic. Thanks for all the work developing this! I have two of the original versions (one for SA and one for sig-gen). This is an amazing upgrade and plan to get one (or two :-) ) of these now also.

Pretty damned impressive for a $200 machine!
I'm really surprised how accurate the RF generator level output is..
Looks like I'm going to have to purchase one for the field tool kit :)

very interesting and I just ordered a tinySA Ultra signal generator to use on setting up a SDR 21cm 1420 MHz radio telescope backyard hobby project. 😎 thank you.

Very nice…mine will only go down to -76dBm at 100 MHz

I have a question. if I set the span on the sweep generator to 500kHz, will it be -250 to +250 around the generator setpoint? or + 0 to +500khz to the set value?

My Tiny SA Ultra puts out a generator signal way lower than expected. As I keep reducing the output level, at some point it starts to get stronger on the connected receiver before disappearing below the noise way sooner than expected. I have tried it on several different receivers with the same result. I don't have another SA I can use to actually measure the output power level.

In the previous model, the VHF band was of good quality, but from 400mhz onwards, I did not feel such a reliable reading of the spectrum, considering that it was provided free of charge. In this “ultra” model, is there a quality in the reading of the entire spectrum, up to about 800Mhz, as happened in the previous model in readings below 300mhz?

Just the perfect video I was looking for. Thanks!

And you get all this for the price of a set of good cables ! 😁
Great!
Mine is on the way, hopefully

You show the screen reversed on the tinySA Ultra ? A new feature ? [ btw., my tinySA Ultra is on it's way to me :-) ] 73s OE1MWW

Just got my Ultra and really like it, however I was misinformed that the Ultra had TG capabilities (for filter sweeps).
Would be nice if a couple of TinySA's could be somehow linked (trigger I/O etc.) so that they could together do TG measurements.
Still happy with both the TinySA and NanoVNA in that they give accessibility previously unavailable at low cost.
Thanks & 73

-18dbm is the TinySA Ultra highest output that are valid under 1Ghz, so its more or less secure to hook up to most thing unattenuated when it max can supply -18dbm and got no DC.
where the TinySA peaked at -6dbm in low and up around +13dbm in high If I recall on its signal out mode.

Great product, but this ultra model is not longer available at Zeenko Store …

in the tinySA Ultra the UHF filter is still of low quality?

HI Erik, would it be possible to update the AM so that it is possible to modulate a signal which is in MHz area with a very low signal that is in the area of 10Hz only? Currently this is not possible…

My question is, Can it be made possible to inject AM or FM Modulation from an external source.?

Great work! I can't wait to get one! Has the frequency granularity improved as well?
