I tell my daughter to tell everyone if anyone does anything to you. If anyone tells you not to tell your mom or dad - that means they’re doing bad stuff. you come tell us as soon as possible.

I'd hear the elders sit around talking about kids being sexually/physically abused like it was nothing when I was a child. I'd wonder why nobody would do anything. As an adult looking back, I'm so angry. A lot of times they'd blame the girl saying she intinced the man.😠😡🤬 I'm so sorry for what you been through, & I'm glad you're helping to make a difference. 💙

Why do so many women turn a blind eye when their children tell them they're being abused? I dont understand, my best friend told her mom and her mother called her a liar, and i witnessed it!! I just don't get it

Her whole entire family did not protect her. They, in fact, served her up on a silver platter. It is so sickening, gusting, horrifying that the abuse went unnoticed. And I am sure her three other sisters were also getting abused. If he’s doing it to one girl, he’s doing it to All. I wish she would’ve had the courage back then to go to the authorities. Try to go to a police station that he was not a part of. What amazes me is that the sisters did not talk to each other about it when they were younger. I pray that Cathy Stays strong and does not give up her fight in her civil matter to collect On The money from her stepdad. He should have to do more than pay her, he should be in prison for life. I am too a sexual/mental/physical abuse survivor! I have horrible PTSD! The differences my mother believed me and did something about it. I am so grateful to my mother, who did not for a second doubt, or question me and supported me and went after the people in our family who did this to me. My mother is my best friend. I am so blessed to have the mother I have, she has always been there to pick my up, dust me off, and help get me back on my feet every time I would go through different struggles in my life! I would do things to self sabotage myself, unconsciously, and push people away. But my mother refused to let me be alone, or to push her away! Even when I attempted to my my life multiple times, she was the first pi saw in the hospital room. I am also a recovering addicted 7/10/21! This would have not been possible without my mother. When she found out, she only let herself panic for less than a minute, she went into straight supermom mode and started making calls and taking me to hospital to figure out what were the next steps, and what to do to get me better, and on the right track . And I am forever. Grateful for that, my life is so much better than where it was. I don’t think my mother will ever understand how grateful and blessed I feel that God chose her to be my mother. I love my mom so much.

Stories like this make me sick he had a wife for that to take away your innocence, I hate you had no childhood. I hate the adults in your life failed 😢 you and allowed this to happen to you.
