Oneplus 11R vs Nothing Phone 2. I think phone 2 will be costlier than 11R. Because 11R is cruahing every other brand in this price segment here in india.

I'm definitely interested in this phone if it has support for rooting, custom ROMS and unbrick tool/MSM tool. I currently am a OnePlus user I have a OnePlus 7T Pro which Oneplus announced that OnePlus 7 and 7T series are EOL. My phone is rooted and uniquely customized with some cool features. I was disappointed with the newer models when I went to XDA forums and people tried to root and experienced bricking of their phones and there are no MSM tools available to public in order to restore phone you would have to pay and in some occasions the phone would not function properly. If it can be rooted like the Nothing Phone 1 I'm definitely considering in purchasing. Oh and by the way I don't care about the name as long as has great features and functionality that's what counts.

That's how the whole ecosystem works.. one creates one device, other flashes words like "leaked images show ".... Just killed ".... Just finished "Insane camera ever".... Big flashy events to speak big about the device ...And device would be launched, pre ordered, oversubscribed once and then would come at half of the price for it's remaining life.. whole ecosystem (OEMs, social media influencers, youtubers) is supporting each other (like shark and Rimora) to pick money out of consumers pocket.. if you don't buy a new device, your battery will be drained through updates, forced lag would be created, no spares or immensely high priced spares... Somehow you will have to spend on this.. ridiculous!

Extending your RAM virtually is nothing new and doesn't need an announcement. Oneplus comes with 16GB RAM with 12GB expansion 😅

The one thing you need to note is
11R is will be the competitor for this
11R 3yrs of android updates and 4 years of security updates

whereas Phone (2) will have 4yrs of android update and 5 yrs of security update only if they consider it as flagship like every other company but if NOTHING sticks with 3yrs of Android update and 4 yrs of security update even for their flagship device -they are screwed big time.
Pricing would 45K -3yrs of android update
and 50K if they can provide update for 4years like Samsung.
and there is huge con for 11R

if nothing phone could offer 512 gb edition, with their optimization they can boost ram power by virtual ram but if they increase the storage space that would be a big pro for phone 2
