I think Cheptegai has this record too. With his new form, speed and strength he will demolish this record. Thanks to the new pacing technology with the 5000m world record 13:08 is blazing but he made the 12:35 look like a walk in the park. Cheptegai you can't doubt anymore. If he goes out too hard, in order to demolish Bekele's record, it will be counterproductive. And with these lights to mark the previous record, I think he will time his running just good enough to secure a new world record, as he has done in the 5000m. 26:15, give or take one second, is my prediction.

The 10k is no joke, it requires both speed & endurance....I always viewed the 10k race similar to the 800m race....you need speed, and u better time it your David Rudisha....then u can sprint the whole 800 😂

Attempting to take down the WR is a ballsy move to say the least, but like I’ve said in the past....Joshua Cheptegei & Jakob Ingebrigtsen are the future for middle distance running. They’re both consistent runners with bright futures ahead of them. If he does break the WR (and I hope he does, cuz records are meant to be broken) it’ll be within 5 seconds of the current WR (my prediction).
