Je recherchais depuis très longtemps ce titre live sur internet, YouTube etc.
Enfin, quelqu'un l'a mis en ligne.
Certainement la meilleure version de Fantasy de tous les temps. En plus, en live ! Ce soir-là, l'inoxydable chanteur d'EW&F était très en voix. D'ailleurs, le groupe entier l'a senti au moment de son solo vocal. Ils ont mis une intensité supplémentaire qui était indispensable à cette performance.
Hélas, jamais cette hauteur de prestation n'a pu être atteinte depuis par le chanteur, et donc le groupe.
Il a pourtant essayé, mais sa voix était trop incertaine ou fébrile pour y parvenir.
J'aurais tant aimé être au Japon ce soir-là...

Il y a des moments comme cela ou quelque chose se passe. Philip Bailey ce soir la, a été touché par la grâce. Cette version est sans doute sa plus belle performance vocale avec des musiciens très en forme également. On atteint le sublime et les étoiles. Magnifique.

De todas as versões de Fantasy para o EWF esta é sem dúvida a melhor.Essa versão ele canta com o coração... ele canta como se fosse a última canção da vida dele.... tá muito diferente das outras... dá para perceber  o que ele faz com a voz em 4:54 não existe na voz humana é impossível!!!! what I miss about the heydays of disco...a band, a real voice, soul, emotion, slink, groove, funk, the untidiness of humans using instruments to produce sound that moved you, instead of the electronic time-keeping of a totally electronic facsimile that merely told you when to move (not 'electronica' I refer to pop muzak)
