But that's not the reason why. I haven't done anything bot-like. And, if it was actually restricting me for that reason, why does it only pop up when I try to follow certain accounts. It's not ALL accounts. Just every once in a while, I try to follow an account, and this pops up. It will not let me follow. But I can follow other accounts without issue. So it's not because of a restriction, otherwise I wouldn't be able to follow anyone. Not just a select few accounts. It makes no sense. One of them is even a friend of mine I actually know in person. And IG won't let me follow them.

It's also due to people reporting your comments as spam. I've been hit with these 24hr restrictions about 5-6 times within 3 months. And not a single comment of mine went against community guidelines.

It's basically the copyright strike here on YT, but for IG.

The last restriction I received was for a comment where the OP reported my comment as spam when it was literally just a comment with tips/advice on graphic design. Apparently the OP didn't like constructive criticism (I wasn't mean or anything) and reported it as spam. Then I was restricted for 24 hours.

So, while it can be for performing bot-like moves, it's not always that. But you also do say, "It's mainly for this" so you kind of covered that, just not with specifics.
