love these vids man

one easy thing to improve is the light flickering, for example at 8:10 but it runs through the whole video.
there should be a setting in your camera app that's called "Anti Banding" or something similar.

Setting this to 50hz, as you are located in Norway, should fix the flickering

keep it up man

VW/Audi EA888 gen3 engines, before 2015 did the same thing to the rocker arms. Chain would stretch, intake cam would jump time, bend all 8 intake valves and break all 8 rocker arms. The replacement rockers are the larger ones from the gen 1 and 2 engines.

Just feeling if the head has scratches or is bent with your finger is not a great way to check right? I saw people in videos use a long straight bar across the head and then look for gaps between the long bar and head to see if it is warped/bent

Hey next time do a leak down test because you can use the results of the test to figure out what is wrong with the engine. During the test, If you hear air moving down by the bottom of the engine, you have bad piston rings. If you hear air coming out of the exsaust, you will have bad exsaust valves. If you hear air moving through the cylinder head, you have bad intake valves, or bad valve stem seals. Also two cylinders that are next to each other have low compression, you have a bad head gasket. Hope this helps!

If you want to reduce the flickering in the videos, take the whole video while editing, clone the footage into a second timeline, offset the cloned video by 1 frame and set the opacity to 50%!

Love the video. How much did you pay for such a low mileage example if you don't mind me asking. As a fellow N43 owner(320i e90lci) this engine runs absolutely beautifully when running properly, the key thing to it is maintenance, maintenance and maintenance.

Pleeeease stand at one spot when you’re presenting and adjust the shutter speed to get rid of this horrible flickering :)

Great video. The cause is most likely timing chain failure, the more modern german cars engineer their engines in a way in which when chain fails/snaps the force goes upwards causing the tappets, lobes etc to break rather than damage to the pistons/valves

In most cases it works but like i found out last week on a mercedes 2018 E220… tried to save the customer some money as i seen his broken tappets and rocker arms, usually replace it all and time the engine and thats it, we try keep our customers costs to the minimum so foolishly told him the bottom end was okay… long story short the car started with a misfire cylinder 4, turns out one piston had damaged the valves in cyl4.
