fun fact: the reason italian is spoken by a majority of maltese is because when TV arrived here, all the channels were in italian, and the fact that most choose to study it when at school

We speak Italian aswell because in the past people who spoke Maltese were called stupid and stuff idk why and people who spoke Italian are smart so the Maltese studied Italian and it's also because we grew up on Italian tv shows

Maltese is 80% ARABIC, the remaining 20% doesn't really count for much as 80% of it is Arabic!
