There is no point in pressing Toni Kroos and it would be a tactical mistake to do so. Why? Because Toni Kroos is surounded by two very fast full back and Anrdich. If you press Toni Kroos, he simply passes the ball to Ruediger, Tah or Andrich who can all play a fine pass and you opening up the space behind you, meaning you will fall in Nagelsmann trap. Nagelsmann and Toni Kroos are prepared to get pressed more, but that would open up acres of space, which Gündogan, Havertz, Musiala and Wirtz can exploit and all of a sudden you are in world of hurt. There is almost no point pressing a very good technical full back, there is definitely no point at all to press someone like Tone Kroos who drops back as a midfielder and plays in between two full backs picking passes with his incredible technical ability.

I think Ronaldo can add value to any team even when he's 40. However, I think the difference between Ronaldo and players like Kante and Kroos is that when Ronaldo plays, there is a tendency to only play through to him, to rally behind him and include him in every attack etc. It's like Ronaldo has a sort of gravity and effects everything around him. Now if you have the 29 year old Ronaldo at his peak. That's fine because most of the time "just give it to Ronaldo" works. But when you have the 39 year old version that plays in Saudi Arabia, you have to accept he's not gonna be your tip of the spear. Kroos cant be pressed, he falls deep between the two CBs when this happens...and a team that tries to accomplish that has to press the CBs too at the same time while room opens up for their offensive play, they actually bank on that.

Hungary did the best they could which is counter play at high speed, in that department Kroos is lacking...and the CBs are on their own.😢

The best English made player to play for Germany. It is so obvious when you see Musiala play for Germany, you can clearly see tell he wasn’t produced by the German development system that produces more robotic players. Musiala is more London than German and dribbles like a typical London cage player like Zaha, Olise, Elliot, Foden, Saka and Eze.

So when Germany celebrate Musiala they are celebrating English youth development, because if Musiala was coached in Germany, he would be one dimensional like Sane.
