I personally really loved Neytiri. Zoe Saldana gave a moving performance and watching her go beast mode at the end after her son died was one my favorite scenes in the movie.

What I took from the film is that Kiri has no father. When Grace’s life was unable to be saved, Eywa instead recompensed her life with Kiri.

Grace’s avatar was essentially impregnated when it was connected to the Tree as she died.

It explains how Kiri is able to do exactly what Eywa does, namely control nature. She’s Eywa’s Avatar in a way.

Regarding the issue of intelligent whales, I've always enjoyed a quote from Douglas Adams Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy - "Man has always assumed that he is more intelligent than dolphins because he has achieved so much - the wheel, New York, wars and so on - while all the dolphins had ever done was muck about in the water having a good time. But, conversely, the dolphins had always believed that they were far more intelligent than man -- for precisely the same reasons."

Neytiri going berserk was absolutely AMAZING

Really impressive how James Cameron made me care more about the new characters than the originals👀
Also, the moment that guy's arm was ripped off was nuts. The whole audience gasped

The whales being super smart was genius to me. It just adds to the magic of Pandora. I mean look at the native people…they’re big and blue…look at all the creatures, the plant systems….The plant having extremely smart whales isn’t even a thing that would surprise me.

That ending Zoes screams really got me and her smile when she sees him again really had me crying

Neytiri's action scene is the best scene in the movie

The line "A father protects. That's what gives him meaning." was beautiful. ❤️

The ending got me. It really hits home if you've lost a loved one.

Just walked out of the 4D or whatever they’re calling it now. Insane experience. Captivated beginning to end

Grace, I strongly have to disagree on Sam Worthingtons performance. It was confident, well matured compared with the more wild and naive performance of the first film. I think his range of emotion was exactly what it was supposed to be. He needed to be the pillar of his family, someone they can all lean on as fathers be. Not quite sure what else he could have done differently or improve in any way.

I like the fact that the neytiri truly became a wild animal.over her family. Just like the General said she was. Her performance was truly amazing. You go zoe Saldana.

once again I sit here with PADS (Post Avatar Depression Syndrome) the way this movie transported me all over again, is a feeling I will never forget, a stunning achievement across the board. Particular accolades to Zoe Saldana, the energy she carries when she gets on her Banshee to go avenge her son, and the rage she let loose upon the humans, a rage that cost her fathers bow gave me chills.

The young water princess was so beautiful and had a heart of gold. Hope she's in the 3rd movie.

I watched it in IMAX 3D on opening night and it was the first time since Endgame that the entire cinema was packed! The visuals in this movie are at least 3 levels above anything from Marvel. There is no director out there that does 3D better. This is also one of the rare times where the sequel is much better than the original!

I thought Spider was kinda silly at first, but halfway thru I actually liked that he’s basically Tarzan, born into a world that isn’t his, being a Navi at heart. I also appreciated Kiri’s development, having struggled with seizures myself. There’s still so much that *humans* don’t know about them that I agreed when Grace said that the scientists diagnosing Kiri with epilepsy probably wasn’t accurate, just their way of trying to quantify it bc they still don’t fully understand Eywa or Pandora. Both Kiri and Spider are fascinating characters.

I cried when Neteyam died. When I think of Avatar: The Way of Water. I don't remember the water scenes or action fights, what really stayed with me was the death of a tulkun and Neteyam.

Like those scenes WAS SO PAINFUL FOR ME.
