Erica Abi Wright (born February 26, 1971), known professionally as Erykah Badu, is an American singer and songwriter. Influenced by R&B, soul, and hip hop, Badu rose to prominence in the late 1990s when her debut album Baduizm (1997), placed her at the forefront of the neo soul movement, earning her the nickname "Queen of Neo Soul" by music critics.

I worked in Midtown Manhattan… she came to my restaurant…. I was lucky to have been her server…. She hooked me up with 10 tickets to her show…plus gave me a huge fat tip…. Needless to say…. She was very sweet….. I was lucky enough to meet her a second time in Chicago….and she totally remembers me😊 and right on the spot…she gave me another set of 10 tickets! To this day… we keep in touch!

I found this for the first time 1200 pm EST May 11, 2024.

I didn't know I needed it as much as I do at this moment. It came exactly WHEN I needed it. I have been trying my best to exude the same energy as this Queen does in her every breath. Badu has always been the Queen.

Her recurring dream is one that I have been trying to live. It is almost as if she created this performance for a future moment for the exact person to hear it at the moment they needed it, and that is why this was recorded.

I know that people may think I am crazy for the way I live, speak, dress, react, and love. But there is a reason for everything that I do. I can only say part of my plan aloud and the rest will be left up to chance that it will go the way the future needs it to.

Thank you for understanding your inner Goddess so that the rest of us who were under programming could unlock what was needed. It took a VERY long time to unplug from the mainframe but once I did it was the best thing I ever did.

I still have moments that the programming tries to take over, and it takes extreme will power to stay present most times.

This was very long winded, and I generally have stopped writing to make sure that people would not have a solidified idea of the way my mind works. But maybe, just maybe I am supposed to.

I hope this very human moment I seem to be having reaches those who need it. Keep striving to sit and grow unddr the Suns Rays. You are a glorious reflection of the universe. And if you are a reflection of the universe do you doubt your own mind?

The Sky is never the Limit, reach for the Stars.

----some crazy lady sitting in the yard of her low income apartment with nothing but $11 to her name with Rent due and a job prospect that will probably stress her out to the point of ending it all one day.

All the Singers, Musicians and Erykah Badu are killin it. This is one of the Best Concerts I ever heard and seen. When the male vocalist start singing "Innervisions" by Stevie Wonder it blew my mind! I love it. Most of this new music we have now SUCKS! I REALLY Miss Neo-Soul.
