My dad is Taiwanese & Samoan. His father was Taiwanese and mother Samoan.

My siblings and I were often mistaken as Filipinos but recently learned of that Tai blood so it kind of made sense haha.

Want to learn more about Taiwanese culture even though my dad’s father was not present for a number of reasons. But some part of me still wants to honour that blood and legacy that still flows through our veins. Love coming across these videos! Really makes you feel at home and part of the experience.

I went to Taipei in April but it was too short. I want to go back. We spent most of our time in Seoul, Korea. My favorite in Taipei was the shave ice. There’s emerging Taiwan restaurants in Hawaii. I’m from Hawaii.
