This is so cool! What a nice setting and a wonderful piece!

I really believe it would do this piece more justice if the lute could be heard more clearly over the other instruments. But it is beautiful and an amazing work of art nevertheless. Bravo.

What a lovely afternoon in the beautiful Holland College with an outstanding Ieva and my good friends from the Accademia della Speranza ! And thanks a lot to our dear Antonio V ! He died so long ago but still makes millions feel very much alive.

Would this be blasphemy? Your baroque lute could be amplified to bring it out in front in the mix. A piezoelectric pickup plus an internal microphone would make for a natural tone. Overall, the mix is good. i just lose you when the others get intensely loud. 😄 This performance was a great way to start my day 👍

Vivaldi did not compose the piece for such a huge early 18th century swan neck lute as Weiss has been using. Perhaps, a small lute or mandoline or a plectrum-driven string instrument was in his mind. However, dear Livas, you try your best. Thank you.

That must feel great to be part of. It’s good to see you alive and well.
I loved the performance, although you were a little drowned out by “the band”.
That’s the same problem the original performance had .

A couple directional “shotgun” microphones, close and pointed directly at your instrument, might help with recording and preservation of the performance by providing a separate track for you that could be boosted in volume while mixing for broadcast on Youtube or wherever.

Don’t be a stranger. 🕊💐🌹💐🕊
