Tower of Fantasy had all the potential to be an amazing long lasting game but having potential and realizing it are two completely different things

What killed it was the multiple servers and Insane power creep. Not to mention the game not being f2p friendly at all, as they only released 4 stars at the start of the game and never released 4 stars again.

The thing is TOF has something the others don't customisation, and yet they squandered it....

I'm 45 and didn't find gotchas until later last year. Tower was my first when it dropped on ps5. It holds a special place in my heart. Although I stopped when they gave up on their servers and switched to Evangelion, it got me into the genre. Thank you Tower, we will miss you.

It's not because of the story only, the game it self was hard p2w, even if you only want to play DPS, u forced to spend for people to accept you. Who TF want to play or even able to enjoy the game that way?

It shouldn’t be a surprise, it was literally within the title itself, the devs were so deep in their little ‘fantasy’ thinking this game could be good or salvageable. 💀

Perfect World just announced layoffs and suspending game projects. But it didn't specify who is being effected. I'm wondering if Hotta will even have the chance to make this new game.

Everything listed sounds good and all, but I somehow have sincere doubt those devs can actually pull them off in a good way.

Wuwa started as pgr.
Basically meaning that the first game is just a tutorial for the devs so maybe they will deliver a good product this time.

in all of the info you show us I never saw a statement saying they will stop supporting ToF, I can be wrong but feel free to correct me please, not that I'm defending ToF or anything, I actually drop the game a time ago, but just trying to find the info you said in tour title.

Could be great. Honestly, from what I've seen and what allegedly promised, it sounds like a chill game. I would definitely give it a try

funny thing is ToF had a lot of potential, it has 10x more content then Genshit and the possibilities for F2P is crazy, i was completly F2P with 3 Limited 5 Stars at E2 (x2Copies, forgot what they were called in ToF) and their weapons, all because they sell the 5 stars in the shop to buy with the Duplicate Currency (like the shop that lets you buy wishes/4 stars, but on ToF they had the Limited 5 Stars, allowing F2P to get multiple Copies of the 5 Stars if they wished enough and saved up that currency, so its not bad

tbh if they make ToF 2 and make it 100x better then yea its going to be pretty good, they had more ways to gear out your characters and it felt atleast more unique then Genshit Impact...

Tbh, for me it wasnt really the gameplay or story or optimization that stopped me from playing, or perhaps the optimization did? welp, in the end our Crew were forced to migrate into much crowded Server. But migrating into crowded server mean hige traffic, and time diff made it hard to migrate together, so while waiting the rest of us joining, one by one went offline, some even got dispersed, or join other Crew. The powercreep is so bad, but that s gacha anyway, the whale dmg is also made it feels like "Do i even needed here?" as a copium i just consider myself as a normal Executor (i only spent for monthly) while the Whale was high ranking Executor.

When Vera first released was the peak, thinking i could kill the mini boss just to get clapped in 2 hits are awesome, asked world chat for help and sitting there while waiting reinforcement.

Still, it was fun, Shymie's "Meant to Be", Vera "New World" and some of Fenrir's song are still in my playlist.

I’d continue playing Tower of Fantasy if they made sure to fix all of the bugs and glitches on the ps4 version…
