California Coastal Hiking Trail Through Half Moon Bay, Part 1 (Rugged Beauty)

I take you on a secret local hiking trail called the California Coastal Trail. This 9-mile stretch through the city of Half Moon Bay hugs the Pacific Ocean coastline and takes you through a variety of different terrain, from rugged coastal wilderness, through neighborhoods, a commercial harbor, and a couple of beaches.

Part 1 starts at the Ritz Carlton and heads northward through the Wavecrest Open Preserve ending at Dunes Beach.

How do you get to the wildflowers/mustard flowers at Wavecrest if you start there? Is it the Coastal Trail or the Birding Trail?

The thing is, I like going, I hate coming back. Any suggestions? I guess I’m not a real hiker. I just want a scenery path.
