I know this is a very old video, but I’m new to your channel and just catching up! This is hilarious as you were only very early into your life in London, but as someone who has used the tube for the commute for nearly 30 years pre-pandemic and consider myself well versed in tube culture, I could not have put it better! You were obviously a very fast learner! Maybe if life does ever fully return to normal you should remind people of the “rules”!

I am 63 and lived in London all my life. I think your 12 things have nailed it other than if you have bo or halitosis, get a cab!

Wow, you covered everything. This is hilarious to me as someone who took the tube every day to school, but now that I got to uni outside of London I can reminisce.

I'm glad you mentioned stand right on the escalator if you are not moving down. Left is the fast lane. That cannot be stressed enough and is the top rule of the tube

"Do not make eye contact... that is the British way, that's what makes Britain great - severe anti-socialness." Brilliant! lol.

I use the district line which is air conditioned - lol. It annoys me when tourists don’t take off their back packs on crowded trains. Plenty of people do make eye contact because at least 50% won’t be locals!

Translations: "hot chips" (Aus) = chips. "in peak hour" (Aus) = in the rush hour.

One rule which you've forgotten is before entering the carriage you should let the people off by standing on the site.

You can always tell the Brits from the tourists because the Brits we allow people to get off before getting on, the tourists just want to push and shove to get on

You don't wait for people to get off or you won't get a seat. You push on. You run to seat. You can talk. I nearly fell in to a push chair once with a baby in it. Everyone was laughing. I don't stand to the side. If some idiot wants to run they'll have to wait. I take up the whole thing. Once I was in a coffee shop and a man tried to accuse my sister of stealing a phone. I threw him over a table. The table went over and he hit the floor and glasses flew off. The coffee was cold.
Never ever have s back pack. Thieves use a Stanley knife behind you on escalatior and slice the bottom taking your things. Have nothing behind you. Keep everything zipped.

Which line do you use? There are carriages with AC. I know it by my heart. I hate people who are making vidoes about my favourite holiday destination and don't tell the truth.

"Passive aggression" is usually a phrase that rude, domineering people apply to polite people who dare to stand their ground.
