In this video, I’m taking you to one of Cornwall’s best-kept secrets—the Spitfire Park Campsite. Set right on the rugged coastline, this campsite offers stunning sea views, an on-site café, and exciting activities like skydiving and a driving school for kids. I spent a few days soaking in the atmosphere, cooking up some incredible smash burgers on my Blackstone griddle, and hanging out with friends. But this trip wasn’t just about relaxation; it had a personal touch as I set off to Land’s End to recreate a family photo from 66 years ago.

My nan visited Land’s End back in 1957, riding all the way down on her Vespa! With her iconic photo in hand, I made it my mission to find the same spot and relive that moment. I’ll also show you some quirky gift shops and share my thoughts on what it means to revisit these special places. What a great campsite, love all the activities on offer, great to see you all together and having a good time after what Jon and Mandy have been through, I saw the burgers and sauce you knocked up on John and Mandy’s video, omg they looked amazing, love a good sauce on a burger 👌😋 That sausage tray bake looked lush as well. Hi Daz, great video, love Lands End, most westerly point of Cornwall, known for the famous Lands End Sign 😊. As well as the signpost Lands end is one of the most westerly points of the mainland UK and is renowned for its stunning natural beauty and iconic landmarks. Loved your story about your Nan going there in 1957 on her Vespa motor scooter, wow, that's quite an achievement 👍 and seeing your photo at the sign as a tribute to your Nan, well done. The sign was put up originally to the left of the Hotel, but was move over to the right hand side, not sure when though. I was born in 1958 and I'am 66 now, so that sign was put up a year before I was born 😉in 1957. We've had many photos taken over the years as we used to holiday in Cornwall with my family, and continued with my own family, so have seen how much Lands End has changed over the years 🙂🙃😉

We use white tack from home bargains to stick everything down. Would work a treat with the magnets.

Like to cook pork steaks then slice apples on the top then Wensleydale cheese over the lot n grill till the cheese goes bubbly with home made chips x your dinner looked brilliant hope you enjoyed the lot xx

When it comes to seasoning your smash burgers I recommend a Salt/Pepper/Garlic combo and then add an optional mixed herbs as my number one.
Use 15-20% fat content, the higher the fat content the better the overall flavour 🍔🔥🧑‍🍳

I Daz. My caravan fridge has a wood veneer sheet like your's. They can be removed. Why don't you remove it and get a thin sheet of iron cut to size and paint it a subtle colour to blend with the decor. You will easily be able to stick magnets on . When you're done, you can remove the iron sheet and put the wood veneer back.

Hi Bluetac is something we have used for years it sticks to the fridge and all sorts of stuff can be stuck down with it and it doesn't move

Keep the burger rub simple my blackening seasoning is 1 teaspoon each of smoked paprika, onion powder, garlic granules, coarse black pepper, mild or hot chilli powder, then add half teaspoon each oregano, rosemary finally 2 teaspoons of fine sea salt, store in a jar keeps for months
