PS5 Pro Reveal Reaction - Um What?

The PS5 Pro reveal just happened and many are feeling a bit underwhelmed. The PS5 Pro price of $700 is a bit steep. The features like somewhat better FPS and visuals are hard to show. And the games used to display it's power were from the PS4 era.

I was kinda impressed at first, like showing what it could realistically do and not make false promises of 8k 240fps or whatever. But $700!? And $780 if you wanna have a disk drive!? Sony's having another ps3 moment. They're getting cocky and they think that they can get away with anything

Many issues here. 1) They're not even including a disc drive or vertical stand? 2) They didn't have 1 NEW game to showcase the hardware. 3) The PRICE. You can get a pretty serious PC upgrade for $700-800 anywhere in that range.

My main takeaways are 1) showing older games did nothing for me. 2) Id rather spend the money on a Switch 2, Steamdeck 2, ROG ALLY X or the follow-up releasing next year.

In Canada (Ontario), the PS5 Pro would cost me $950.00 +13% sales tax at the current USD rate exchange. That's $1073.50 CAD total. And no disc drive. And no vertical stand.
