How to Create a Custom Part on LabelMark 6 Label Design Software
Have a custom label that you want to print on using LabelMark 6 Software? This short video will walk you through the simple steps to build a custom part.
From the LabelMark 6 home screen, select the manage option. Then select "Custom Parts." From there, select "Add New Custom Part." Then click on the "Create from Empty" option.
Next, on the "general tab" you will start to customize your design. You will have the opportunity to name your custom part, select the printer compatibility, the part family (i.e. terminal block, continuous label, die-cut label, etc.), sensor type and description.
After the general information is entered, you can move on to your custom label measurements. This includes your width, length (or height). You will also want to add a small left margin to ensure all print stays on the label. Adding a liner width also tells the software where the label sits on the liner. The measurements for vertical and horizontal gap are important as well. This is the gap between each of your labels, vertically and horizontally, respectively.
This information should be available to you through your own custom design specifications. If you had Brady build your custom label, our customer service team should be able to assist you as well. They will find the label measurements by pulling up the custom quote or order that the labels were ordered on.
The final section is the "Zones" tab. Here you can set up the zone type (printable or non-printable), size and shape.
Once your part is saved, you can create a label with your custom part. To do so, go to the "Create" option from the LabelMark 6 Software home screen. Then click on "New Label" from the drop down. You should find your custom part in the list.
