Additional tip for Hammer users:
If you hold tap instead of just tapping after a perfect dodge, instead of the Golfswing you'll charge instantly to the level 2 charge, the Upswing.

I am very pleasantly surprised - I hope Niantic doesn't ruin it, they need to just build on what they currently have

This game is absolutely amazing, and I’m glad Cotton, Josh, and Hollow help us out with learning more and more about the game. Thanks, you guys!

Came here to get the "hidden moves"- Got exactly what I was looking for. Thanks!
It'd be cool to have a training dummy to practice iframing with different weapons and how quick you can act out of an attack without being in combat

At 2:16, the guarding backstep also has a perfect dodge counterattack like a normal dodge. It still does the falling shield bash but it’s significantly stronger. I only found this just now by complete accident.

One additional tip for ranged weapons. In the top right of a hunt is a button that changes your Gyro controls from full to semi and back. When you're learning the game, use Semi as it closely tracks the monster with small adjustments needed. Once you're comfortable, switch to Full! It allows you to precisely target certain spots like heads, limbs, and tails. It's a much higher skill ceiling with a great reward!

I'm happy to see Great Girros have another shot. Quite a good design for a low tier monstie.

Thank you for the tutorial. They really should have implemented a practice range for the weapon types once you reached the HR. I started noticing I was doing fancy moves and figured maybe there actually was a little more than pokemon go raid mechanics

to be honest its quite amazing how they can translate all those movement into tap, hold and slide mobile gameplay

best mobile game ive played in years, actually went on a long walk today just to get more hunts in, surprised with how well they represented the weapons for touch control

I hope they add training room to practice timing of dodge and other skill

One thing I learned with bow is if you tap again after firing your changed shot, it will quickly fire another charged volley at about half normal damage. Good for another quick chunk of damage after each of your charged shots.

I actually really love LBG in this game, with the right skills like on paolumus equipment you can essentially turn it into a high fire rate weapon with minimal recoil and I actually think the recoil on the slicing ammo is useful as I’ve already managed to evade attacks by just attacking and recoiling out of the monsters radius 😂

was finding bow difficult but I watched a guide earlier and now Im loving it! enjoying the game a ton can't wait to see where they take it

Despite not having the duel blades I have enjoyed my time with this game so far, I do hope they add more weapons in the future

Something not mentioned, a perfect dodge with hammer will also give you an instant lvl 2 charge attack if you do a charge after the dodge 👌🏾

There's 2 things I noticed wasnt mentioned for SnS. First is the charge by holding the tap after backstep/guard before going in for falling shield bash, and the other is backsteping have a perfect dodge too, which apparently skips the charge to level 2 and do more damage faster.

Thanks for the explanations. Incredibly helpful. Next time though it would probably nice if the footage you show while talking about a move is of that move. Right now it's sometimes hard to keep track of what you're talking about because of the disconnect between speech and visuals. This was mainly the case in the Long Sword section, when you were talking about the evade slash thingy.

I can't believe of all things, Monster Hunter Now is making me an SnS main. LS and Bow I don't have to patience for, that's a me issue, Hammer I've never liked the clunkiness of ever, GS is probably going to be a secondary if I can get those timings down right, but LBG looks sick, definitely something I'm gonna have to try out when I get more mats that I don't need.
