The NES is capable of utilizing Famicom BASIC so long as you have the neccessary equipment as follows
ENIO expansion board w/ tape deck jumper wire
Famicom Keyboard
Everdrive N8 or Game Genie + 72-60 pin converter + original Family BASIC cartridge
Any tape deck with audio input and output capabilities
I programmed all of the games I've made in Family BASIC on a Famicom. This runs exactly as intended on the NES though.
