Agreed on the wiring for the pickup combinations on the San Dimas. I love the San Dimas, but I always redo the electronics on these guitars to use a 5-way superswitch - bridge HB, outside coils, both HB's, inner coils, neck HB. No push-pulls to mess with that way, either.

The 5150 Series Standard Maple has nailed it for me. Love the green and I have always been a maple guy. The drop D gadet is a necessity on a Floyd.

Charvels have the most comfortable necks. I don't have one yet, but ever one I've played has been a dream (maple at least, I did not like the rosewood one I tried at all). The 'six pack of sound' with the 2 humbuckers is also astoundingly versatile. The middle position alone is amazing.

Agghh Pete, love you man, you are a fantastic player. But the EVH Floyd only drops pitch. To use the D-tuna push down the knurled peg gently against the Floyd finger spring and slide it back. Push down slightly and push back in for D.😁
